I know a few that will be celebrating hard and heavy tonight in Clintwood. Congrats on a fine win. The way things sound you done it with class like is expected out of your program.

I think Burton will have their hands full the last 3 weeks here. Clintwood and GC will have the full season to grow up and have something to prove the last 2 games the Raiders play. Pound seems to play Burton tough most all the time so RAIDERS, as you can tell from tonight, if you are not on your game you can get snakebit in a hurry. Then you will be looking at an improved and angery Bulldog team wanting to extract some revenge for earlier this season.
The road in not as easy as it seams so stay focused. As Clintwood proved tonight, they come to play.

First off, sorry I didn't meet anybody, I was too busy trying to not step on elp6n lol *just kidding* she probably heard me cussing one second and praying the next..I think I need that ...I honestly dont remember

I told one of our coaches before the game, first 4 minutes of the game determined the game. If we could play with GC and not get smacked down quick, we had a shot. GC isn't super-young but they are not experienced, thats what I think Ironlung was saying and GC was saying back to him. They have some mid-upper classmen who just haven't had a lot of playing time (particularly line). I don't think anybody thinks they are down that far, just down for them.

Both crowds were pretty pathetic. I think 1/3 of Clintwood crowd showed up after the half, too many was listening on the radio and decided it might be good. I'll agree with Jason, and I heard his section up there, because I was cussing the cowbells [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

This reply is to noone in particular. But why is it that all of a sudden since Clintwood beat GC that everyone is saying the Raiders better "watch" out now? All I have heard all year is that the Raiders are head and shoulders above everyone else. Now all of a sudden CW has 1 big win and they are world beaters?? Funny how everything changes on here within seconds.

I think it's because CW always gives JIB trouble. Even last year, JIB was twice the team CW was. It was 0-0 with less than a minute to go until JIB scored. JIB has only beaten CW 2x's since 1990. When I was a senior we were 3-6, JIB was 7-2, Boo played for JIB and we beat the hell out of them. It was 38-20 final with JIB's final score coming with less than a minute to go to make the score look closer. I don't know why, but CW has had JIB's number for years. Mega, Freddie, Shoe and several of the others will tell you the same thing. This is a game that always worries them.

As for myself, they'd need a performance 10x's what they had last night to beat JIB. I don't see this one being as close as last years game. I don't see anyone within the Region competing with JIB.
